Cara and John, who came all the way to New Orleans from Phoenix, AZ had their wedding at the House of Blues, which is absolutely the perfect venue for these two. They had everything thoughtfully arranged, all the way down to the little details. John wore customized cuff links with the letters “C & J ” on them. Cara and her mother both wore pearls.
The Ceremony: French Quarter New Orleans
The ceremony, which was outside on a beautiful day, was charming and sweet. Some tears were definitely shed and the atmosphere was radiating joy. Following the ceremony the crowd went gleefully second-lining through the streets of the French Quarter to the music of The Jaywalkers. As is the tradition of the second line, Cara had a beautiful white, lacey parasol, and John had a black and white one. One thing these guys have in common is that they love love love music.
The Venue: House Of Blues
They definitely came to the perfect place, seeing as New Orleans is internationally known for its musical culture. Cara and John met at a music festival in 2005, and when they got engaged in 2013, John made a point to have Digital Love by Daft Punk playing while he proposed on the cliffs overlooking the ocean in Monterey, CA. Needless to say, the reception was a real hit. With live music by the The Phunky Monkeys, the reception was like being at a live concert. This was genuinely one of the most fun weddings I’ve been to.
Cara and John, here’s to you! You guys are doing it right! Congrats and may you have a lifetime of happiness!
