For Shelley and Ryan’s ceremony they decided to have a beautiful destination wedding in New Orleans. Traveling from Indianapolis, they really had the flavor of the city come out in their wedding. When you think of a New Orleans wedding, you think of the St. Louis Cathedral and Pat O’ Brien’s. The ceremony unfolded beautifully in front of the St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square. After the wedding, the Storyville Stomper’s brass band made a second line party all the way down to Pat O Brien’s for the reception. Delicious drinks were served and everyone celebrated for the newlyweds. Before the wedding, I photographed Shelly and Ryan’s beautiful first look at the Astor Crowne Plaza. The couple looked great together and I had a terrific time photographing their good times.
If you ever make it down to New Orleans, you have to try Pat’ O Brien’s famous Hurricane!

Elise and Jason were married divinely with tradition in the Center of Jesus Christ Church. Their loved ones filled the pews as the pair said their vows in the church’s natural golden hue. After the beautifully intimate ceremony, they hopped in the limousine and headed to the after party. No detail was missed from the elegantly candle lit courtyard to Elise and Jason’s bobble head cake. The Maison Dupuy’s gorgeous courtyard and hotel presented a celebration for everyone. Only two blocks from New Orleans Bourbon Street, the luxurious Vieux Carré district hotel inspired a French Quarter reception. The Ivy band really rocked everyone’s head’s up and down, including the ones on the cake. They also caused some serious ripples in the fountain…or maybe it was everyone dancing and having a great time celebrating Elise and Jason’s marriage.
The entire wedding was fun and memorable like an oldie you’ll know for a lifetime. Elise and Jason brought old school back in a number of ways, from the traditional church wedding to the rock and roll Ivy provided. Other than it being a wonderful time, it was truly a classic evening.
