Cara and John, who came all the way to New Orleans from Phoenix, AZ had their wedding at the House of Blues, which is absolutely the perfect venue for these two. They had everything thoughtfully arranged, all the way down to the little details. John wore customized cuff links with the letters “C & J ” on them. Cara and her mother both wore pearls.
The Ceremony: French Quarter New Orleans
The ceremony, which was outside on a beautiful day, was charming and sweet. Some tears were definitely shed and the atmosphere was radiating joy. Following the ceremony the crowd went gleefully second-lining through the streets of the French Quarter to the music of The Jaywalkers. As is the tradition of the second line, Cara had a beautiful white, lacey parasol, and John had a black and white one. One thing these guys have in common is that they love love love music.
The Venue: House Of Blues
They definitely came to the perfect place, seeing as New Orleans is internationally known for its musical culture. Cara and John met at a music festival in 2005, and when they got engaged in 2013, John made a point to have Digital Love by Daft Punk playing while he proposed on the cliffs overlooking the ocean in Monterey, CA. Needless to say, the reception was a real hit. With live music by the The Phunky Monkeys, the reception was like being at a live concert. This was genuinely one of the most fun weddings I’ve been to.
Cara and John, here’s to you! You guys are doing it right! Congrats and may you have a lifetime of happiness!

French Quarter wedding | Arnaud’s Restaurant
Sarah and David’s wedding was truly one of the most classy and theatrical events I’ve photographed. These lovebirds are both performers and singers and they absolutely brought those attributes to their wedding, which really made it a unique experience. Sarah’s dress evoked an essence of American history, with a 1930’s era vibe, complete with a small white mesh veil and a short, curled bob hair-do.
They got engaged in New York City and recently moved to Cincinnati, but they got to experience the magic of a French Quarter wedding here in New Orleans. They chose Arnaud’s for their ceremony and reception, which is a fantastic way to really get a feel for the finer things in the authentic style of New Orleans. One of my favorite details from their big night was the banana’s foster dessert in place of a traditional wedding cake. What an amazing idea that was! Hands down, the best part of the day however, was getting to hear both Sarah and David perform songs for all of their guests. The wedding was the day before Mother’s day and I’ll never forget how heartwarming it was to hear Sarah sing a song for her mother.
These two really know how to have a good time and I am so grateful to have been a part of it all. Thank you Sarah and David for such a lovely night. Congratulations to you both!

The Ceremony | Reception : Hampton Inn wedding New Orleans
Katie and Joe have the kind of relationship we all aspire for, where fun and creativity are always among the top priorities. The fact that they got engaged at The Magic Kingdom in Disney World really goes to show that these two will be forever young. Hailing from Clermont, FL they brought a large amount of family and friends up to Louisiana to show them a New Orleans good time, complete with a second line and a King Cake for the groom.
They chose gorgeous suites at the Hampton Inn to get ready for their big day. The suites both had rustic painted brick walls and incredibly high ceilings, which let in spectacular light through the impressive, tall windows. The ceremony, which took place at St.Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, was made even more elegant and profound by the church’s beautiful architecture and heavenly light.Back at the ballroom of the Hampton Inn, the reception was a truly unique and fun affair. Everyone was more than ready to break it down on the dance floor, particularly Katie and her Dad. I’ll never forget how they put their own spin on tradition and treated the crowd to a special synchronized Father-Daughter dance. Congratulations Katie and Joe, you are absolutely meant for each other!

Kortney and Adam have a love that feels tangible. The energy before their wedding was electric, like an invisible charge was moving through the whole wedding party in anticipation. Kortney had quite the crew helping her get ready in the comfort of her mothers home, including an adorable little dog. To make getting wedding‐prepped even more perfect, the bridesmaids had silk bathrobes to match their light pink dresses. The guys had just as much of a great time getting ready, playing cards and snacking, all in preparation for the evening to come.
The Ceremony : Ursuline Academy in New Orleans
The ceremony took place in the church on the beautiful campus of Ursuline Academy. It was a breathtaking location, with its enormous arches and columns lining the interior. After the limo escorted her to the front steps, Kortney entered the church, stunning everyone in the room, but especially Adam. When he saw her coming down the aisle he exuded happiness, confidence, and most of all affection.
The Reception : Audubon Tea Room wedding venue
The reception kicked off right after at the Audubon Tea Room. The venue was of upmost elegance, embellished with gorgeous hardwood floors, double doors and silken drapes. The reception was a hit, with hysterical laughter constantly all around. Here’s to you, Kortney and Adam! I have no doubt in my mind that the two of you just began the best chapter of your lives.

Ganda and Rex were such an adorable and fun couple to work with. They had no problem letting go and truly enjoying their special day. Their wedding was an intimate, classic New Orleans wedding celebration.
The Ceremony : Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in the French Quarter
It was held inside the impressive Our Lady of Guadalupe Church wedding located on Rampart Street here in New Orleans. The stunning daylight pouring in through the stained glass windows painted everyone inside in a beautiful color. Seeing the look on Rex’s face while he watched Ganda come down the aisle truly melted my heart. Those are the kind of moments that really indicate how strong their affection is.
After the ceremony, the wedding marched through the streets of the French Quarter. As I said before, Ganda and Rex really are a fun couple who wanted to have a good time. They were doing jumps for the camera and really celebrating their marriage with extreme enthusiasm. In an atmosphere of Mardi Gras beads and confetti, we navigated through the wonder and spontaneity that is the French Quarter.
The Reception : The Court of Two Sisters in the French Quarter
The reception took place at The Court of Two Sisters, a classy New Orleans restaurant. This was the perfect night to have dinner in such a beautiful courtyard, with all the trees and latticework twinkling with glowing lights.
Cheers to Ganda and Rex! I hope you have a glorious lifetime with each other.

Bridal Prep: Old Dobbin Station
Kristina was all smiles as she was helped into her stunning lace-covered, one-shoulder gown and lace-trimmed veil by her maid of honor. The bridesmaids’ gowns were varying shades of grey, pink, and lavender – the colors of a summer sky after the rain – and featured a draped gather on one side. The groom and the groomsmen were very stylish in their lavender ties.
If you want your wedding day to have the feel of downhome Texas, but still retain all of the elegance your grand day deserves, then an Olde Dobbin Station wedding is what you should have. As you stroll down their rock-lined pathways, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to an old western town, which was the perfect setting for Kristina and Shane’s wedding day.
Ceremony: Old Dobbin Station wedding
Olde Dobbin Station, built in the early 1900s, had been an oil pumping station before becoming a community center. The present owners restored the rustic buildings to create special spaces for special occasions. With its cathedral ceilings, massive chandeliers, paddle fans, and highly polished floor, the main building, called McCoy Station, is the perfect setting for a Texas-style wedding and reception.
The bridesmaids formed a colorful wall of loveliness to hide the bride at the doorway until it was time for her grand entrance. And when that time came, Kristina’s father was there to give his daughter his arm. Friends and family looked on as Kristina walked down the aisle to take her place at Shane’s side for the ceremony.
Reception: Old Dobbin Station wedding
After the ceremony, the bridal party made its way to the reception where, through the spectacular arched doorway, Kristina and Shane greeted their guests for the first time as husband and wife. Now it was time for big Texas fun.
Everyone looked on as the bride and groom shared a special dance, but then it was jackets off and get down and boogey time where some guests showed off their superior dance moves. Even Shane got in on the show, when his family and friends formed a human trampoline. Texans sure know how to throw a party or even a party host!
Kristina and Shane found time to steal away for a few private moments under the night sky before they shared a Hollywood-style kiss under an archway of sparklers as they made their exit. Sparks really were flying that night.
