Megan and Brent are a super sweet pair. They’re so much fun and totally up for anything. We had a blast combing through the French Quarter looking for cool spots to take photos in. I like these two especially because they have such easy-going personalities. They’re so enamored with one another that it was like the whole day was one big rolling laugh taking us from one spot to the next. Megan and Brent are from Canada, and were really excited about the aesthetic of New Orleans. The French Quarter, with all of its charm and mystery, is the perfect place to photograph an engagement session. The history, the charm, the people and all of the excitement make the experience unique every time. Every corner you turn brings a whole new adventure, a new inside joke, or a new story, all of which I am so thrilled to capture.
Thank you Megan and Brent for such a great time. Congrats to you both!

Engagement Session French Quarter New Orleans
We took Christina and Matt’s engagement session French Quarter to the next level. They wanted to do a ‘first look’ and exchange of letters, both of which are incredibly sentimental and emotional rites of passage for an engaged couple. We had Matt wait on a bridge, while Christina, dressed in her full bridal attire, approached him from behind. Having never even seen her dress, he was completely stunned when he turned around to face her for the first time. This moment was so packed with raw emotion that everyone got a little teary-eyed. After the first look, Christina and Matt exchanged letters. Giving them some space, I watched from a distance as they shared this moment, but of course didn’t miss a single nuanced smile or tear.
Feeling elated from the memorable experience prior, we then gallivanted through the New Orleans French Quarter, stopped for a quick beignet, and moved on to the next awesome spot to capture some more magical photos of this awesome couple. It was an action-packed engagement session that ran the gamut of positive emotions.
Cheers to you Christina and Matt!

A Bud Light was popped open at the shoot, the taste bringing back the memories for Ashley and Cody of their many dates at the Bridge Lounge on Magazine Street in New Orleans. To accompany their start of their lives together, they brought in a special member of the family. Zeus lapped up from a shot glass as I lapped up the couple naturally conversing with smiles in the half lit bar. From there we took the love for ales to Decatur Street’s Jackson Brewery. Voodoo Blues, Buds and Zeus, brews and bistros, and then lastly, the banks of the Mississippi River. Ashley and Cody were a joy to work with throughout the French Quarter. And I can’t wait for the wedding to work with these clients again and keep the good times rolling.
Update: The wedding took place at The Board of Trade in New Orleans. Click here to see the full post
